The iconic América de Cali football club offers its players, members and staff the opportunity to train at the Johan Cruyff Institute with special conditions

América de Cali will offer its players, members and administrative staff the possibility to access the academic training of the Johan Cruyff Institute with interesting discounts, thanks to the collaboration agreement signed by the two entities. The agreement also presents opportunities for the students of our institution, since in addition to learning about the management of this historic football club through case studies and the club’s participation in presentations and educational activities, América de Cali will also offer five internship places for which our students can apply.

América de Cali S.A., known as América de Cali or simply América, is one of the largest and most popular clubs in Colombia and is considered to be one of the most important in South America. Ricardo Pérez Tamayo, president of América de Cali, highlights the importance of the agreement:

“For us, this alliance is very important because it means we can offer our professional and amateur athletes the chance to get professional training when they are no longer playing football and therefore be able to continue their careers in this beautiful sport from other areas. And for those of us in administrative and management areas, it will help us specialize in this dynamic race that requires us to be up-to-date with all the new strategies that football requires both on and off the pitch.”
