The sports industry meets in Cali to identify challenges and trends, at a congress in which Johan Cruyff Institute<\/a>, the Escuela Nacional del Deporte<\/a> and the Universidad San Buenaventura<\/a> will participate as academic partners<\/h2>\n

On July 28 and 29, the headquarters of the Escuela Nacional del Deporte<\/strong><\/a> at Cali (Cali National School of Sport) will bring together international experts from the sports industry to share knowledge on the latest trends in the sector. The Escuela Nacional del Deporte<\/strong><\/a>, Johan Cruyff Institute<\/strong><\/a> and the Universidad San Buenaventura<\/strong><\/a> will participate as academic partners of the event, which expects to gather around 400 attendees linked to sports federations and organizations, leagues, amateur and professional clubs, representation agencies, technology companies and professionals from the fitness and health industry. <\/p>\n

Sport, understood not only as a source of health and competition but also as an entertainment activity, has been transformed into a consumer product tirelessly promoted by the media and marketing and communication companies. Sports activities, entities and athletes themselves become brands and are offered in leisure and commercial exploitation formats.<\/p>\n

Cali has become the epicenter of important national and international sporting events in different sports disciplines, which has earned it recognition as the Sports City of America.
