In 2004, following the success of the Johan Cruyff Academy, the first Johan Cruyff College was founded in Amsterdam to help young sports talents combine vocational education with their sporting careers. Since then, the four sites of Johan Cruyff College have developed a unique learning environment where students from different sports learn together, with a focus on ‘total talent development’, growing as professionals, athletes, and individuals.

Today, this vision continues to shape Johan Cruyff Institute’s vocational education programs, combining practical learning, professional skills, and strong connections to the sports industry. Adapted to each country’s education system, they prepare students to enter the job market, build a career in sport, or continue their education at a higher level.

Higher vocational training program in Administration and Finance oriented towards Sport Management

Online with in-person visits to leading companies in Catalonia

In Barcelona, Johan Cruyff Institute and Escola Pia Online offer a Vocational Training Program in Business Administration and Finance with a focus on Sport Management.

Taught in Spanish and Catalan and delivered in a blended learning format, the program combines a solid foundation in business administration and finance with knowledge applied to the sports industry.

Its practical and career-oriented approach prepares students to enter the professional world with a recognized qualification, while also providing a pathway to further higher education.

mbo-level vocational education in Dutch

On campus in Amsterdam, Enschede, Groningen and Roosendaal

Johan Cruyff College offers mbo-level vocational education in Dutch, specifically designed for elite athletes and young sports talents who want to combine their education with the demands of their sporting careers.

Programs are delivered in Amsterdam, Enschede, Groningen, and Roosendaal in collaboration with public Regional Education Centres (ROCs) and lead to a recognized vocational qualification. Students can specialize in Sport & Business or Sport & Coaching.

The programs combine practical professional education with the flexibility athletes need to balance their studies and sporting careers. Students can enter the sports industry directly or continue their education, for example by pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Johan Cruyff Academy.
